We are requesting that you please utilize the following
procedures effective January 1,
2008 when
processing Contract and Grant Administration (CGA) 61 accounts
and federal MAES and MSUE accounts.
Your assistance with this procedure will ensure our
compliance with federal effort reporting requirements as well as
expedite and consolidate the processing of all our academic personnel action
forms, (which includes change of status and summer load forms), graduate
assistant appointment and support
staff,
personnel action
notification (PAN) forms.

0 – 60 days from
effective date of funding change:
-
Forms that are
submitted within 60 days from the effective date of the appointment change
should continue to be submitted directly to Human
Resource Services/Academic Human Resources (HR) for processing (110,
Nisbet
Building
). These forms will need
to be received in HR within 60 days of the effective date of the
change.

61 or more days
from effective date of funding change:
-
Forms being
submitted
61 or more days from the
effective date of the appointment change should be sent directly to CGA (301 Administration Building) for approval.

Appointments/changes that are more than 90 days from
the effective date require additional documentation. Please refer to the CGA
website at

for additional information.
If forms are approved by CGA the paperwork
will be forwarded onto Human Resource for processing. If forms are
not approved, CGA will return the paperwork to the Dean’s office.
